Cuzco, imperial capital of the Andes, former seat of power to the Inca emperor. Pronounced in Quechua (the ancestral language of the Inca people) as “Qosqo”. It is the the oldest continuously inhabited city of the Americas and an archeological and cultural treasure trove full of history and tradition. Merely by walking the streets one can admire the rich colonial architecture. The city is surrounded by a myriad of Inca ruins, the most famous of which is ofcourse Machu Pichu.
There are two routes commonly taken when visiting Cuzco. One starting from Puno and an other one starting from either Lima or Arequipa. Below you can find the travel details for both options. For the first package the travelers starts at Puno and subsequently travel to Cuzco.
